"Man's best friend"
Today, I read a quote from the great portrait photographer Yousuf Karsh as he shares his thoughts on portrait photography: “ If it's a likeness, alone, it's not a success. If, through my portraits, you can come to know the subjects more meaningfully, if it synthesizes your feelings toward someone whose work has imprinted itself on your mind--if you see a photograph and say, 'Yes, this is the person,' with a little new insight--that is a beautiful experience”
Welcome to Skeetown!
Skee’s been away for a couple of days which has resulted in no posts in Skeetown. But it’s good to see that you keep on checking my old posts, thanks, it means much to “Little ‘ol Skee”.
I have done quite a lot of “qualiy shooting over the past couple of days, so make sure you check back daily….Skee’s on a roll, be warned! Lol
Today’s shot, simply called ,”Man’s best friend”, was taken in Portobello market. For those of you familiar with this area, I’m sure you will know this man….he always goes around with his little doggie on his back. I wonder how the doggie must feel!
As usual, I take my work very serious, I virtually followed this “young man” around the market until he had no option but to stop. This is actually not the pose I had wanted to post….I think I’ll save that for later.
Skee’s back tomorrow…. Are u?
