Keep at it… it might one day work! My Photography: I like to think that through what I do, and sometime achieve, is a representation of what can be done with the understanding of what I consider the most important resource to any type of photographer-Light. -M.Skee Opps, not a human insight today, although this snap was taken of the bride’s dress, she had it on by the way. It’s a tight crop, mainly to emphasis detail. Thanks for all the comments, Skee’s back tomorrow!

Power Failures in Nigeria are still rampant. I spent most of my evenings in the sticky heat, darkness included. I had thought about doing this shot since I arrived in Lagos. It wasn't long before I was handed the opportunity lol. (This Pic has added grain) The enemy of photography is the convention, the fixed rules of 'how to do'. The salvation of photography comes from the experiment. - Anonymous

It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter, because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the ordinary. - David Bailey "Oga Sule", I've known this chap for over 15yrs and he's always warm for a photo shoot, although on this occassion it took alittle coaxing as he was abit upset with the fact that I had not been around for almost 5yrs. After I explained I had "Something" for him, he soon warmed up :-) I've always loved b/w portraitures, since back in the day when I used to do pencil and charcoal studies. Good strong bold pencil work is all about tonality, little differs in b/w photography. For me. i'm up close and personal with my 35mm. On this trip I wish I had a zoom though, as many good photo-opps were missed as my up, close technique didn't go down so well with many of my intended subjects:-) Skee back! Late...but definately B. A. C. K!

Just back from a well deserved holiday to Nigeria, It's been about 5 yrs since my last visit, it was so nice to see my parents and my baby sis ( Pictured above ) Who still looks 16, even though she's now a qualified Lawyer. I didn't take as much pics as I thought I would have and as such am quite frankly disappointed with myself :-( When one picks up ones camera and freezes a moment in time we all get a glimpse of ones soul - Anonymous I love pictures that capture the essence of life... there is so much joy in this photo, it's definately one for Skee's wall. _Skee's back! But then... you knew that already.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that!" Skee's Back! "The moment you take the leap of understanding to realize you are not photographing a subject but are photographing light is when you have control over the medium". My light sources are simple, the light in the picture above was obtained from my Aquarium. If you look close at the kids eyes, you might be able to see the reflections of my fish swiming around.
