Presenting "G9Fu" ( From Feb 1st 2008 )

...Skee's back! Don't ask me where i've been, you don't need to know ;-) lol So what is "G9-Fu"? Recently, I have been thinking alot about my photography, and how I missed those point n shoot days ( My first digital was infact a canon powershot G2 lol ) So i've decided to blog this year with another point n shoot compact that caught my attention late last year. The Powershot G9. "Downgrading" from a Pro camera with Pro lenses is not easy, that I can tell you firsthand! The lovely depth of field and the sharpness obtained from canon's "L" range is a hard thing to leave behind. So much so that the G9 spent wks in my pocket without any action. But as I normally say, Photography is much more than the equipment used, and i strongly believe if I was given a pinhole camera, i'd push it to it's limits and beyond. So as I begin my journey here on SC why not join Little 'ol Skee from the 1st of February when Skeetown comes alive once more.- Mista Skee ( Check Mista Skee on Facebook for more insights and updates )

Quite agree with your sentiments. I started with a little Fuji Finepix and like to think I have taken some good pics with it. However, as you say, it is difficult to switch from an SLR back to a compact, and mine doesn't get much use now. This is not bad for a compact - good luck with your project.
