I took a series of shots at work for an interview for our local church magazine of which I am part of the design team. I didn't want any static stuff so after going through the interview I sat the Pastor down adjacent to a large window with the lights off and had a conversation with him. The extra light was provided by the use of an off camera speedlite flashgun held off camera and triggered by a infra red transmitter.
I'm really happy with the results (The one's shown above are just two of them), as I think I've got some really dynamic shots, I can't wait to design the article.

I hope that you do not mind me saying but both images are powerfull in their own right but the second image would be great on it's own. Mal
You seemed to have really captured the personality of the pastor, and your lighting offers so much dimension...to the images as well as his personality!

oh my day!!thats my pastor!-ok well not mine but anyho, Pastor Praise!!wonderful stuff- loving the hand gestures coupled with the facial expression and the angle captured!!good stuff
