Sway this way: A black n white carnival

I like this shot alot... the percieved motion, the repetitive pattens and the lovely skin. This is not a crop, the movement for this type of dancing comes from the waist, so I found including heads irrelevant to my cause.

The next couple of shots I will put up will be themed around patterns and repetitions of form and shape. Understanding the basics of Fine Art can only but make your photography stronger

The more you practise the art of looking, you understand that the ability to see things does not depend on so called 20-20 vision, just vision :-)

"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unkowns. That is to say, there are things we know we don't know. But, there are also unknown unknowns. These are things we don't know we don't know." - George W. Bush, July 11, 2003

Nice shot Skee, the colouring makes this even better.
Mr Skee: Thanks for your comment
This is a nice picture. I like the way you created depth to it.
Mr Skee: THanks,It was simply shot at F2.8 using the canon ef 70-200 F2.8L IS.
The only pp was the sepia conversion using the curve tool on an adjustment layer. It was shot in RAW and converted to a 16bit image using C1Pro

Skee, I think you might have applied too much sharpening to this OR maybe there is something wrong with my screen. There seems to be a lot of blemish (like ezcema/rash on the girls back and left arm.) Please does anyone else see this.
Mr Skee: lol...it's definately ure screen. On the girl's back and arm is glitter powder. I almost fell outta my chair with laughter smile

For me the best carnival shot so far, you defintely get a coveted "I LIKEY" from the Subter. To me this would make a lovely poster shot. You know on thos huge billboards for a carnival party or for the carnival itself. Absolutely stunning image I wish I took.
