"They get down"

7 WHOLE DAYS WITHOUT SKEE!

In the past, Skee, has talked about, developing the ability to read a situation, and how important such a factor can be in the final capture of such an image involving any living object, both animal and human alike.

Wedding Photography is no different.

Today's shot is simply titled "They Get Down", the picture speaks for itself :-)

I've done alittle photoshopping here, the tones have been rather muted with the colours further away becoming more and more cooler and de-saturated. A fancy custom made border has also been trown into the mix.

Skee's been away for a whole week, and yup, you have all been missed ;-).

Here's a question for you all... Can skee get down? Mama's, Papa's, aunties, uncles, guys and gals... It's "Skee-dazzle time!

this is awesome, how did u get the blur in the shot?
Mr Skee: I've started taking my wedding shots at f8 and higher, this gives me more DOF and hence more lattitude to apply "creative techniques" in my post production! One may argue that this is not a "fair" process but it is a rather modern one. if done properly it can be very effective.

Here's how it was done.

1. Create a new alpha channel and apply a gradient, here I chose a radial grad.
2. Switch off the new layer, and using the "Lens Blur Tool", in Photoshop CS2 only (sorry folks!) apply the lens blur to the new alpha channel. Simple as S-K-ee smile

3. This can be further enhanced if the picture layer is duplicated and made into a layer mask, then more of the original image can be selectively brought back into the picture.

Skee-dazzling. I like how you captured the moment and the pose. it's like the groom's encouraging his shy bride to "get down". I also love how you blurred out everyone else in the picture and how you focused on the couple and their intertwined hands - very special. Nice shot.

Once again, I IS is Skee-dazzled and offer the bro a highly coveted "I LIKEY" from the Subster, very inspired work. OUTSTANDING.

Don't know bout you being able to get down...but you really have captured them at it. I love the contrast of their hands as well.

To Skee grin: Lovely image!
To "asiko": you can apply the "Lens Blur Filter" using an alpha channel in CS1 (which i still use) as well. Don't make me miss CS2 more than i am (missing it) already please!!!!
