photoblog image "More lessons in Chiaroscuro"

"More lessons in Chiaroscuro"

Come this weekend, the black uniform goes back on, not that i'm paying suby a visit, :-), he's been quite tame recently, but, once again,  I get to do one of my favourite type of photography... Concert and theatrical stuff!

A nice, noisy music concert. Just up my alley! Low light photography is always a challenge. I can remember my first concert in 2003, I threw myself in at the deep end. For me, you either learn how to swim... and fast, or you drown in the process, and don't bother hoping for a lifeguard, cos he's not coming. Get the point!

Success is what happens when 10,000 hours of preparation meet with one moment of opportunity. -Anonymous

I still have a big bag of film prints that were totally under exposed, not one good shot! And all my cash spent on development as well, it was a valuable leason for skee, never to happen again!

So I studied, and hard too, during breaks at work, to and fro on trains and bus journeys to work, still do by the way :-)

At nite, when most peeps slept, skee studied. Why? Because anything worth doing my "shutterchance family", is definately worth doing well!

The picture shown above, was taken at the beginning of the year, so why post it then?

Well, come this weekend, i'll be at the same venue, with more challenges, I can't wait!

FACES WANTED!
Over this Summer, I'll be doing quite alot of shooting for a project i'm working on, so. if you think you have got a wonderfully unique smile as above and your not camera shy, drop me an email

Ooh, nicely done!
Excellent composition and lighting; great pose. Incredible work; I think the change from you as the brown color tones kind of ware on me a little bit. I still see your penchant for great lighting here. Regards, Brent
Wonderful, really impressed by this. I agree with Brent, it's nice to see something different from you wink

Yes I was just thinking that this shot had some "Sopranos" type overtones. Yes I like the color for a change to although I do go ga-ga over your sepia toned shots. So beautiful. smile
