photoblog image "No greater smile than this"

"No greater smile than this"

Not everyone likes my work... then again, after a couple of weeks of looking at my pictures neither do I!

Why do I say this? simple because, as an artist I can never be satisfied with my work... no mater how good or bad it is. I simple know I can do better! And I always do!

This picture, taken much earlier in my journey, never saw the light of day... the lady didn't like it... such is life!

If I was to take this shot again... I wonder how I would do it. All I know... it would be so much better!

That's simply, folks, the path skee has taken... "Skee-topia!".

See you all tomorrow...maybe :-)

You caught her with her eyes shut!!!! Not good by your standards, Skee.

Great shot and fine lady too.
Mr Skee: Eyes shut...but wonderful smile, it wasn't the same with her eyes open! As artists we should be able to make decisions based on the mood and feeling... not based on conventions!

I think her eyes being shot works for the shot as it is the expression that draws you in. Amazing!

Nice one Skee. Lovely smile. Eyes closed very much a valid expression as eyes open in my book. I'd prefer eyes open myself but I think it just about works here.

Ah... I remember seeing this series before. You had some really brilliant shots from that shoot, why did you decide to put a shot with closed eyes up?

Nice shot but would have preferred her eyes open.

Oh Mr Skee, I despair. The pictures are perfect - the models too. (What beautiful teeth. Come on, fess up - have you whitened them up even more?) I have a lot of work to do to reach this standard - and to find these models.

How about a tip or two with some of your postings? A compositional hint, perhaps, or a technique hint? Or are these state secrets?
Mr Skee: thanks...be expecting some tips from tomorrow smile

I like it. Especially the B&W. You have a great way with that.

Nice shot as usual Mr skee. However I would have darkened the image a tad bit, a little on the bright side for this guy smile

I hear what you're saying about "mood" over "convention" on the eyes but I'm still not feeling it. I thinks its because they don't look they are closed on purpose (looking reflective), they look like they were caught in a blink.

BUT, that said, everything else about the photo is nice. She's beautiful, the composition is nice (not groundbreaking, but very good) and you did an amazing job converting it to B&W. Stunning.
Nice shot, mood well captured.
I love her expression and pose, Skee. This shot just makes me happy. She's very sexy. Regards, Brent

Why is she closing her eyes? Otherwise this would be perfect.
