"Mr A"

So how was your weekend?
If you're like me, then it would have involved getting up before 7am on Saturday.
I normally use my weekends especially Saturday to work on ideas and concepts in design that would have cross my mind during the week.

This has been my routine for over a decade now, and until I'm old and grey, God willing I will do the same.

Today, once again, the focus of my work is portraiture, why? Simply because the human being is an amazing subject. God's greatest creation, and in my humble way, I try to mirror that.

I've decided today, to strike shutterchance hard! Skee-stylee!

Here's another "Sepia joint", that's bound to intoxicate you to another step closer to "Skee-topia"

Today's Tips:

Nothing beats hard work, Sometimes this involves time spent at the work-desk, so make sure your really comfortable. A really comfortable chair may cost a bomb, but your derrière would thank you for it in the long run :-)

Kit out you workspace with all you need to make you comfortable, but keep it practicable! i.e  the cooler with the beer under the desk is pushing it abit over the top! :-)

Enjoy your work…. In time it will have an outward effect!

Never be in a hurry to post a blog…especially if it's a picture… (I personally would rather miss a day than post a below standard picture!)

….untill tomorrow, it's another day, for you and me… in "Skeetown!"

I will be back!

Nice shot, great lighting. I would like to see more sharpness in his eyes though.

Ur portraiture work is the main reason i visit/became addicted to ur site. Fantastic work and i'm one step closer to skee-topia. Keep it up.
I like it but prefer the sharpness of your earlier stuff. Nice colour choice.

Even the great ones fall. LOL ok ok ok................ did Remi take this shot? no seriously did U? Remi is a good photographer no doubt, this shot ain't. In my opinion the composition isn't working, its slightly out of focus and ur sepia tone is not working for me here. seems likes i'll send Suby round to get that 5D. I think u were taking the peanuts when u put this shot up and u wanted a reaction, well here it is. I like the subject though, his alright on occasion. PS when u come to asiko's corner, leave proper feedback and stop being a cheeky monkey.
I know 2moro u'll shut me up with a amazing image.
Mr Skee: 1. If the composition wasn't working I wouldn't have put it up.
2. Son, sharpness is relative. The whole image apart from the eyes has been blurred.
3. Sepia.. not working! How did you come to this conclusion...

When I said you should visit the National Portraiture gallery, it wasn't a smart remark, I was just tired of seeing those holiday snaps grin. I really think your horizon needs to be expanded!

I like that he is covering his face, adds that extra touch that makes a decent portrait (ex: your other post today) into a very good portrait (this one). The close crop and the sepia add to the mood nicely.
